I have come to the realisation that hair-time ROCKS!  I love the time I spend with Tamaya during hair-time, but I especially love her reaction when she sees the finished hairdo! 

We live in a pretty small community and she has received many compliments on her hairstyles.  She has now, started saying Thank you to complimentary strangers, (previously when someone said she had nice hair she would say “yes”.  I have caught her on several occasion fishing for compliments on her hair… She will back onto our guest and say “look at my hair” ;-)  Of course they say “it’s nice” and she then says “Thank you”  It’s nice to have her so in love with her bling!  I catch her looking at herself in my bedroom mirror checking her hair out!  She is honestly too cute!

Between hairstyles I like leaving her hair loose for a couple days… She looks so cute with her hair in a little Afro with a headband.

I love how her twist turned out. I have added a mixture of the new stars and heart.

And finally, I LOVE yarn braids. I love the way they are so maintenance free. I still need to figure a way to make the base tighter so they don’t slip off, I only usually get about 2.5 weeks out her yarn extension, I know of other that get at least 5-6 weeks… maybe next time

Tamaya is sporting cornrows with box-braids in back. (click here to see a how to video) I finished off her cornrow braids with 2 beads and a snap, also to add some pizazz I added some sheen barrettes, each barrette is holding 2 rows.  On her box-braids (at the back) I added a mixture of cube and barrel beads finished off by a snap. 

Welcome to Snapaholics Canada bling blog.  Thank you for making my new venture a successful one.  I am enjoying being part of the snapaholics team and I am having so much fun experimenting and learning new hairstyles. 

I am Sue, my dear husband is Steve.  We are adoptive parents to 2 Haitian born children.  Our son Ty is 4 & our daughter Tamaya is 2. (below are pictures of my sweeties) 

I must admit when we decided to adopt our daughter I was intimidated and afraid.  She was literally born with a full fro.  I certainly wanted to do right by my daughter and learn as much I could.  Thankfully the adoption haircare & skincare yahoo group & Snapaholics were great resources.  I am in no way an expert, but I am certainly having fun as I get better.

Please feel free to let me know if there are any additional products you would like to see on the Canadian site.  I have added many, many products since the beginning and have another order coming in with 40ish new items.  I love getting feedback from my customers, if there is anything new you would like to see added please feel free to let me know.

Ty and Tamaya (Tamaya’s sporting untwists with a headband in this picture) * untwists are twist that have been undone, when the twist have been separated she gets nice coils.  I especially like this, as I can get 2 styles with one!
